Trump Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack Expected in Damascus

Tom Barrack, former Trump associate and the U.S. envoy to Syria, is expected to arrive in Damascus today, according to Saudi news outlet Al-Hadath. Overnight reports indicated that Barrack is set to meet with Syrian President Sharaa and Kurdish forces commander Mazloum Abdi, in an effort to advance the implementation of a security agreement recently signed between the two sides. The visit also comes amid ongoing U.S.-brokered dialogue between Syria and Israel over a potential regional security arrangement.
