Saudi commentator Abdulaziz Al-Khamis, in a special address to a Knesset lobby promoting a regional security arrangement, said: "Since October 7th, the Middle East has changed. The question is whether we will be changed by it — or change because of it. Iran, through both direct and indirect confrontation, has exposed its true strategy. Israel, for its part, has demonstrated not only its ability to defend itself but also to deter regional threats lurking at its borders. But let’s be clear — from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi, the message is not about who won the war, but what comes after it. There is fatigue in the Gulf from wars and states of emergency. There is a hunger for stability and partnership. We are asking: Can Israel translate its very real military deterrence into diplomatic success?"
