Turkey to Supply Natural Gas to Syria

Turkey is preparing to begin supplying natural gas to Syria, with Azerbaijan potentially joining the initiative, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced at OPEC’s 9th International Seminar. “We recently connected our gas network to Syria’s. We are about to begin supplying gas to Syria soon,” Bayraktar said during the event. He added that Azerbaijan may become a partner in the project, signaling a potential new phase of regional energy cooperation.
