Report: Mauritanian President to Meet Netanyahu at U.S.–Africa Summit

Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani is reportedly set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of a closed-door U.S.–Africa summit. The gathering will include four additional West African nations: Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, and Senegal. Mauritania, a member of the Arab League, severed diplomatic ties with Israel in 2010 following Israel’s first major military operation in Gaza.
