Terrorist Throws Explosive at Tank in Gaza, and Escapes
This afternoon, during an IDF operation in northern Gaza, a terrorist managed to emerge from the rubble of a building and hurl an explosive device at a Merkava tank from the 401st Brigade — before fleeing the scene. The tank crew had its hatches closed, and the device detonated outside the vehicle. No injuries were reported. A preliminary investigation revealed that the terrorist had been hiding in the structure. After one of the tanks fired a shell, the terrorist used the resulting dust cloud as cover and charged toward a second tank to carry out the attack. In recent days, the IDF has observed increasing boldness among terrorists. Some explain this as a reaction to being cornered with their backs against the wall, while others believe that, as talk of a potential ceasefire gains traction, Hamas is seeking tactical achievements. Either way, the footage is disturbing and reflects a trend that began about two weeks ago: terrorists are becoming noticeably more daring and aggressive.
