Haredi Recruits Begin Training in IDF Tech Unit

A new group of ultra-Orthodox recruits has begun basic training in the IDF’s 388th Battalion under the C4I Directorate at Camp Shimshon. The soldiers will serve a full three-year term, but—due to sensitivities surrounding religious observance—they are not required to wear IDF uniforms during their service.
