Hamas Denies Agreeing to Israeli Withdrawal Maps
A report on the Hamas-affiliated site Ultra Palestine denied claims published in Egyptian media that the group had agreed to Israeli withdrawal maps as part of the ongoing ceasefire and hostage deal negotiations. According to the report, Hamas has not issued a final position on the Israeli proposal and is still examining the details. Sources cited by the outlet said that any agreement on the final terms—particularly regarding the IDF’s pullback and the mapping of troop deployments—requires approval from field-based technical committees. “The current proposal on the table does not meet the threshold of Palestinian demands,” one source said, adding that Israel’s limited concessions contradict the escalating situation on the ground and fall short of earlier positions presented in previous talks.
