Edelstein Backs Down: Draft Law Won’t Be Submitted to Knesset

Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chair Yuli Edelstein has decided not to submit the long-awaited Haredi draft exemption bill. He stated, “There’s no point in bringing forward a bill that has no chance of passing.” The decision may deepen coalition tensions.
