BREAKING: Cabinet Split Over Partial Hostage Deals—Netanyahu Rejects Dermer’s Stance
In a cabinet meeting, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer urged ending partial hostage deals, warning that the diplomatic window is closing and calling for a short, decisive operation to defeat Hamas. When Netanyahu asked, “So you’re saying no to partial deals?” Dermer replied, “Yes.” National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi opposed the idea, saying, “Even if we save just eight hostages—or even one—it’s worth any price.” Netanyahu sided against Dermer, and the cabinet did not approve a policy to refuse partial deals.
