Thousands of Former Haredim Left Without IDF Support

Thousands of young men and women who left the ultra-Orthodox community and chose to enlist are not receiving support from the IDF, unlike Haredi recruits in tailored service tracks. “While the IDF and Ministry of Defense have invested millions of shekels in frameworks and guidance for Haredi soldiers throughout their service, via the Haredi Administration and civilian organizations, no equivalent support has been established for former Haredim who enlist in general service tracks,” the report notes.
