Qatari Foreign Ministry: Israel Yet to Respond to Gaza Proposal

Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, said the proposal currently on the table aligns with 90% of Israel’s previous demands, but Israel has yet to respond. “The ball is now in Israel’s court, which appears unwilling to reach an agreement. What Hamas agreed to matches what Israel has previously accepted,” Al-Ansari stated. He added: “We are not taking media statements from Israel seriously and are awaiting an official response to the proposal. There is currently no formal Israeli reply, neither acceptance, rejection, nor counteroffer. Daily communication continues between mediators, and we emphasize the need to pressure Israel to respond seriously.”
