Security Cabinet Convenes in Jerusalem

The Israeli security cabinet has begun its meeting at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in Jerusalem, a spokesperson confirmed to The Times of Israel. The session is expected to approve operational plans for the next stages of the IDF’s campaign in Gaza City. Hebrew-language reports indicate the cabinet will not discuss the phased ceasefire and hostage-release deal that Hamas reportedly accepted last week. Multiple sources noted the meeting was moved up to 4 p.m. and is scheduled to conclude by 7 p.m., ahead of an exclusive dinner hosted this evening by Benjamin Regional Council chief Israel Ganz in Jerusalem’s Mishkenot Sha’ananim neighborhood.
