Last Gaza-Bound Flotilla Ship Intercepted by Israeli Navy
The Israeli Navy has intercepted the final ship from the flotilla attempting to breach Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza. The vessel, named Marinette, had fallen behind the main armada of 41 ships due to mechanical problems. Forces from Shayetet 13, Israel’s elite naval commando unit, boarded the vessel following the delay. The interception marks the conclusion of Israel’s operation to prevent the flotilla from entering Gaza’s territorial waters. Earlier, the Israeli Navy had detained hundreds of activists across the other 40 vessels, transferring them to Ashdod Port for processing by police, the Immigration Authority, and the Israel Prison Service. Israeli officials have emphasized that the maritime blockade remains in place to prevent unauthorized entry into Gaza during ongoing security operations.
