Hamas Confirms Ceasefire, Signals Further Talks Needed

A Hamas spokesperson told Al Arabiya that the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement has officially come into effect. "We are monitoring the Israeli military’s withdrawal in accordance with the deal," the spokesperson said. He also noted that “the benchmarks for cities across the Gaza Strip have changed entirely. There are stages in the Trump plan that require further discussion,” signaling that while the ceasefire is in place, some elements of the broader agreement remain unsettled.
