US Deploys HC-130J Combat King II to Jordan

An HC-130J Combat King II, a specialized combat search and rescue (CSAR) variant of the C-130J Super Hercules, arrived at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base (also known as Al Muwaffaq) in Jordan today. Muwaffaq Salti, located near Azraq, has been a key hub for U.S. operations in the region, supporting missions in Iraq, Syria, and beyond. The HC-130J's primary role in CSAR involves locating and recovering downed aircrews in hostile environments, often during high-risk airstrikes or special operations.
