Netanyahu Meets White House Envoy Witkoff

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Tuesday with White House Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, who arrived in Israel for a diplomatic visit. The talks between Witkoff and Netanyahu, along with other senior officials — including Defence Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir are expected to focus primarily on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The discussions come after the return of the last hostage's remains (Ran Gvili z"l) last week, and the reopening of the Rafah crossing yesterday. However, the Iranian threat is also expected to feature prominently in the discussions, as Witkoff is also handling that file.
