IDF Strikes Factory Allegedly Supplying Chemical Substances to Iran
The IDF struck a research facility on Tuesday that it says systematically transferred chemical substances to Iran's weapons program. The factory, owned by Tofiq Daru Company, allegedly served as a principal supplier of fentanyl to Iran's SPND organization, which is responsible for developing chemical weapons. The IDF says the factory presented itself as a civilian company but knowingly supplied fentanyl and other substances used for chemical weapons research. The strike was intended to impair Iran's chemical weapons production capabilities, with precautionary measures taken to minimize civilian harm.
