IDF Eliminates Senior Quds Force Engineer in Strike Inside Iran

The Israeli Air Force struck and killed Mahdi Vafaei, head of the Engineering Branch of the Quds Force's Lebanon Corps, in the Mahallat area of Iran on Tuesday. Vafaei led underground infrastructure projects across Lebanon and Syria for 20 years, establishing terrorist sites for Hezbollah and the Assad regime and managing dozens of underground weapons storage facilities in Lebanon. The IDF says his elimination degrades Hezbollah's capacity to develop underground infrastructure and undermines Iran's efforts to advance terror operations across the Middle East.
