Israel claims responsibility for strike on Iranian petrochemical complex in Mahshahr
The IDF announced it struck infrastructure at a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, southwestern Iran, earlier Saturday. According to the IDF spokesperson, the Israeli Air Force targeted facilities producing chemical materials for Iran's armed forces, including a site housing one of two central facilities used to produce materials for explosives and ballistic missiles. The IDF said the site is a primary location where critical components for ballistic missiles are produced.
