IDF strikes Iranian sonar production facility and naval weapons sites
The IDF struck multiple Iranian military production sites in recent days, including the central facility for sonar and underwater detection systems in Shiraz and a naval cruise missile and air defense systems site in Karaj. The Shiraz facility, belonging to Iran's Ministry of Defense, was used for planning, research, development, and production of sonar systems to detect submarines, vessels, divers, and underwater missiles. The IDF said the strike significantly impairs Iran's maritime detection and defense capabilities and its ability to produce and maintain submarines and naval electronic systems.
