Mossad thwarts Iran-directed terror network targeting Azerbaijan oil pipeline, Jewish sites

A terrorist network planning attacks on strategic targets in Azerbaijan was disrupted several weeks ago, the Mossad revealed. The cell planned to strike the BTC oil pipeline running through Georgia and Turkey, as well as Jewish targets including the Israeli embassy, a Baku synagogue, and Jewish community leaders. Azerbaijani authorities arrested operatives carrying explosive drones and shrapnel charges smuggled into the country. The cell conducted surveillance and photography of targets under direct instruction from Iranian handlers.
