Two Golani Soldiers Wounded in Fierce Clashes Near "Yellow Line"

The clash erupted while elite troops from the Golani Reconnaissance Unit (Sayeret Golani), operating under the 36th Division, were conducting "forward defense" activities in a rugged sector of Southern Lebanon. Hezbollah terrorists opened fire on the Israeli force from a concealed position. Initial reports suggest the use of light weapons and direct-fire shells. Two IDF soldiers sustained moderate injuries during the engagement. The Evacuation: Under heavy cover, the wounded troops were evacuated via helicopter to a regional hospital for medical treatment.
