IDF Announces Fall of Staff Sergeant Michael Tyukin in Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces has cleared for publication the name of a fallen soldier whose family has been notified. Staff Sergeant Michael Tyukin, 21, from Ashkelon, a soldier in the Givati Reconnaissance Unit (846) of the Givati Brigade, was killed in battle in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred yesterday at 10:30 PM in the village of Zoutar al-Sharqiya, located north of the Litani River. Tyukin was killed when a Hezbollah explosive drone struck the area. Four other soldiers from the Givati Reconnaissance Unit were lightly wounded in the same attack.
