Iran halts US talks, threatens to close Hormuz Strait and open new fronts
Iran has suspended message exchanges with the United States in protest of Israeli operations in Gaza and Lebanon, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency. The Iranian negotiation team halted talks and draft exchanges via intermediaries, citing violations of ceasefire terms in Lebanon. Iranian officials demand immediate cessation of Israeli military actions in Gaza and Lebanon and full withdrawal from occupied Lebanese areas. Iran and the resistance axis declared their determination to close the Strait of Hormuz completely and open additional fronts, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait via Houthi forces, to punish Israel and its supporters.
