IDF eases restrictions in northern Israel, updates defensive guidelines

The IDF Home Front Command is updating defensive guidelines from June 2-7, 2026. The Confrontation Line area and several communities including Meron, Bar Yochai, and Safsufa will transition from limited to partial activity, allowing educational activities and workplaces in structures with accessible protected spaces, gatherings up to 100 outdoors and 400 indoors, and open beaches. The Upper Galilee, North Golan, Katzrin, and Kidmat Zvi will transition to full activity with no restrictions. The Home Front Command continues ongoing situational assessments.
