Israel reaches agreement on District Court appointments, avoiding court order conflict
Justice Minister Yariv Levin, the Judicial Selection Committee, and the Court Administration have reached agreements on District Court appointments. The names of candidates expected to be appointed were published in the official gazette. The published names are those Levin originally agreed to appoint, eliminating the possibility of noncompliance with a court ruling that required publication. The gazette announcement is signed by the Director of Courts rather than the minister, clarifying that the names are agreed upon by both the minister and the Court Administration.
