IDF strikes vehicle in Lebanon, killing two Lebanese Army officers and one soldier
The IDF struck a vehicle moving suspiciously toward Israeli soldiers near Tebnit in southern Lebanon on Saturday. The vehicle was traveling through an active combat zone that had been evacuated. The IDF had received intelligence indicating Hezbollah would direct fire at Israeli forces from the same area, where the group conducts extensive operations. An initial inquiry found that two officers and a soldier from the Lebanese Army were inside the vehicle and were killed. The IDF is reviewing the incident and stated that lessons will be learned. The military emphasized that the area is an active combat zone requiring coordination, and that it operates against Hezbollah, not the Lebanese Army.
