IDF strikes Hamas Naval Police headquarters in Khan Yunis, eliminates cell commander
The IDF struck the main headquarters of Hamas' Naval Police in Khan Yunis earlier this week. The facility was used to plan and execute attacks against Israeli forces. Several terrorists were eliminated, including Ismail al-Lahham, a cell commander in Hamas' military wing. The IDF says the Naval Police operates under Hamas' military wing and the headquarters was being used to rebuild capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement. Additionally, the IDF struck three Hamas weapons storage facilities in southern Gaza during the past week. After issuing advance warnings, the IDF identified Hamas operatives attempting to remove weapons from the facilities using vehicles and struck both the terrorists and the weapons. Secondary explosions confirmed the presence of weapons inside.
