IDF captures Ghendourieh village in southern Lebanon for first time since 1982
IDF forces have captured the village of Ghendourieh, located west of Wadi al-Hajir in southern Lebanon, marking the first time the military has taken control of the village since the First Lebanon War. Lebanese media outlets report that IDF forces have begun deliberate demolition of buildings in Ghendourieh over the past hour. The village is situated beyond the IDF's historic security zone in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah announced earlier this morning that an armored IDF force attempted to advance in the coastal sector from the direction of Al-Bi'acheh.
