IDF thwarts weapons smuggling attempt in Jordan Valley, seizes 27 firearms

Israeli security forces intercepted a weapons smuggling operation along the eastern border in the Jordan Valley, seizing 23 Glock pistols, three Kalashnikov rifles, one M16 rifle, and additional weapons. A suspect in his twenties from Bethlehem was apprehended during the joint operation by the IDF, Border Police, and Israel Police. Forces had identified preparations for the smuggling attempt in recent days and established ambush positions in the area. The suspect and seized weapons were transferred to Judea and Samaria District Police for investigation.
