Netanyahu vows Israel will stay in southern Lebanon security zone indefinitely
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares Israel will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon "for as long as necessary to protect the northern communities." Following Hezbollah's attack that killed Lt. Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon and three other soldiers, Netanyahu says he ordered the IDF to strike Hezbollah with full force. The military attacked over 80 terrorist targets and eliminated dozens of terrorists, including strikes on Hezbollah headquarters in the Bekaa Valley. "Israel will not tolerate attacks on our soldiers or our territory, and it will exact a very heavy price from Hezbollah," Netanyahu states.
