IDF kills Hamas operative who worked as Al Jazeera photojournalist
The IDF eliminated Ahmed Samir Muhammad Washah, a Hamas sniper operative who also served as an Al Jazeera photojournalist, in a strike in central Gaza Strip. Washah was killed alongside two other Hamas operatives. According to the IDF, Washah was planning sniper attacks against Israeli troops in recent months while working as a journalist. His brother, Muhammad Samir Muhammad Washah, also a Hamas operative who worked under the guise of an Al Jazeera journalist, was eliminated in April. The IDF stated Washah posed an immediate threat to troops operating in the area under the ceasefire agreement.
