Israeli Defense Minister vows no withdrawal from Lebanon security zone
Defense Minister Israel Katz states there are no restrictions on IDF soldiers in Lebanon operating to remove threats. Following recent attacks on Israeli forces, the IDF responded with significant force, eliminating numerous Hezbollah terrorists and striking terror infrastructure. Katz emphasizes that preserving soldiers' and citizens' lives is the highest priority. He confirms all IDF achievements in Lebanon are being maintained, with forces deployed in the security zone along the yellow line. The ceasefire leaves the IDF in all positions protecting northern communities, and both Katz and Prime Minister Netanyahu have made clear Israel will not withdraw from the security zone.
