IDF Chief of Staff visits southern Lebanon, warns ceasefire is fragile
IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir conducted a situational assessment in southern Lebanon alongside Northern Command and brigade commanders. Zamir stated that operations continue with the objective of defending northern Israeli communities and civilians, emphasizing that "the ceasefire that has been declared is fragile, and we must maintain a high level of readiness for the renewal of combat operations." He praised the 401st Brigade for its resilience despite losses, saying "the 401st Brigade cannot be stopped." Zamir expressed sorrow over the recent deaths of LTC Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon and his team, calling it a "heavy price" in defending Israel.
