Israel presents four demands in Lebanon negotiations, including Hezbollah withdrawal and Ron Arad exchange
Israel presented four demands in the fifth round of negotiations with Lebanon in Washington, according to Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar. The demands include: Lebanese army control of Ali al-Taher ridge with removal of Hezbollah operatives under U.S. supervision, followed by IDF withdrawal from Tibnit and Zotar villages; exchange of navigator Ron Arad's body for Hezbollah prisoners; Israeli retention of a security zone barring all Lebanese access; and direct IDF-Lebanese army communication without UNIFIL intermediaries.
