IDF eliminates Hamas Naval Police commander and two others in central Gaza
The IDF eliminated Mansour Sami Mahmoud Shahtout, Commander of Hamas' Naval Police in the Central Camps, along with two additional Hamas commanders in a strike in central Gaza on Friday. Shahtout had been operating to advance terror attacks against IDF troops. The three terrorists were traveling in a vehicle while armed and posed a threat to IDF forces in the area. Hamas' Naval Police operates under the group's military wing and directs attacks against Israeli troops and the state. The IDF stated that steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm, including use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
