Netanyahu requests court not increase trial hearings to five days a week

Prime Minister Netanyahu appeared in court to request that hearings in his trial not be increased to five days a week, citing concerns over excessive pressure on the defense. His attorney, Amit Hadad, warned that no trial except the Eichmann trial has run five days a week, and that such a schedule would force the defense to work on Shabbat and holidays. Hadad stated the defense would be unable to manage the workload, arguing it would actually prolong the trial by forcing witnesses to testify without preparation. He said there is "absolutely no chance" the trial will conclude before March 2028, when presiding judge Friedman-Feldman is set to retire.
