U.S. Offers Iran Frozen Funds for Waiving Strait of Hormuz Toll, Tehran Refuses

The United States has proposed releasing part of Iran's frozen funds in exchange for Tehran waiving tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Wall Street Journal. Iran has so far rejected the offer. The proposal represents a diplomatic effort to address tensions over the strategic waterway through which a significant portion of global oil shipments pass.
