Itim petitions to disqualify Shas candidate over alleged failure to resign in time

The Itim organization filed a petition with the Central Elections Committee chair seeking to disqualify Amos Dror, Shas's No. 6 Knesset candidate and appointed head of the Haifa Religious Council. Itim argues Dror failed to resign at least 100 days before the election as legally required, and is demanding he be placed on unpaid leave immediately.
