US depleted Patriot missile stockpile in Iran conflict, 1,700 left

The U.S. used approximately 1,500 Patriot air defense missiles during conflict with Iran, leaving about 1,700 such missiles in total stockpile, according to The New York Times. During Iranian attacks on bases in Jordan in mid-July, which killed three American soldiers, U.S. forces launched 50 Patriot missiles in a single day—an expenditure of $200 million, with each interceptor costing about $4 million.
