Vance declares "very good day" in Switzerland talks, Iran agrees to IAEA inspectors

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed optimism about Switzerland negotiations, stating "Yesterday was a very, very good day. We achieved significant progress." Key developments include Iran agreeing to re-invite IAEA inspectors and establishing mechanisms for the Strait of Hormuz and future conflict resolution. Vance confirmed Iran threatened to leave talks but remained, and addressed Trump's responses to Iranian statements: "When they say things that are not true, Trump will respond." On Lebanon, Vance noted junior officials sometimes launch UAVs without senior approval, stating Israel has the right to self-defense but the situation can be calmer within ongoing dialogue between Hezbollah, Lebanon, Israel, and regional partners.
