Vance says Iran could access $300 billion Gulf-funded reconstruction fund if commitments met
Vice President J.D. Vance stated that Iran might gain access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund financed by Gulf states, contingent on fulfilling its commitments. When asked if claims about the fund were true, Vance confirmed "these are the kinds of things they might get access to, funded by the Gulf states, as long as they fulfill their part of the commitments." President Trump clarified that the U.S. is not paying Iran $300 billion, calling such claims "fake," and reiterated that Iran will never have nuclear weapons. The proposed fund would reportedly take the form of investments from Gulf nations.
