'Yair Golan Law" Would Let Ministers Punish Security Chiefs for 'Defaming the State'

Coming up this week in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation — the so-called "Yair Golan Law", a proposal by MKs Ariel Kallner and Osher Shkalim. The bill would authorize a government minister to revoke benefits, pensions, or demote senior defense officials if the minister deems that they have "slandered the security establishment," called for halting volunteer service, supported sanctions against the state, or similar actions.
