Tehran has issued an explicit military threat to Syrian rebel leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani, warning of a severe, direct armed response if his forces target Lebanese Hezbollah. The dramatic warning comes as United States President Donald Trump continues to apply heavy pressure on regional actors to dismantle Iranian influence. Iranian political advisors revealed that Damascus has been warned that any military actions taken to appease the American administration will lead to immediate consequences.
Mostafa Najafi, a former advisor to senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee, exposed the strategic decision made by the leadership in Tehran. The Iranian government has finalized plans to deploy a massive barrage of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles directly targeting Syrian rebel positions if they initiate hostilities. According to regional reports, the severe warning has already been communicated directly to al-Julani's inner circle in Damascus.
Iranian intelligence officials understand that the Trump administration is actively working to corner Hezbollah and neutralize its regional influence. In response, Tehran is making it clear to the new authorities controlling vast territories in Syria that they must not interfere with critical Iranian strategic assets. The regime is determined to protect its regional network, warning Syrian leaders that trying to dismantle their Lebanese allies will carry an incredibly heavy price.
The political situation remains highly volatile as the new Syrian President, Ahmad al-Sharaa, navigates intense international demands. The former Iranian advisor made it clear that Tehran will not tolerate Syrian compliance with Western objectives. If the rebel leadership chooses to coordinate with Washington to weaken Hezbollah, they will face an aggressive, direct military campaign from Iranian forces.
