Iran strikes tanker in Hormuz Strait

IRGC releases footage of direct hit on oil tanker crossing the strait without regime authorization as Tehran escalates attacks on shipping lanes

Ship ablaze in the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran is not waiting quietly while President Trump tightens the economic noose on the regime. Iran's Revolutionary Guards have opened a wave of missile strikes on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, with at least one ship hit and burning in open water.

New footage released through official IRGC channels shows the tracking of the vessel, its identification, and the results of the strike.

According to reports, the ship hit was an oil tanker attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guards claim the vessel was crossing "without authorization from the regime."

In recent days, Iran has significantly escalated attacks on shipping routes through Hormuz, in what appears to be a coordinated move with the Houthi rebels in Yemen to increase pressure on international markets.
