Israel’s Eurovision Surge: Noam Bettan Climbs to 4th Place in Betting Charts

Israel’s momentum in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest continues to build as representative Noam Bettan climbed to 4th place in the global betting tables this Wednesday. Following a successful semi-final performance of the song "Michelle," Israel overtook France in less than 24 hours. This follows an earlier surge where Bettan surpassed Australia’s entry, making Israel one of the primary contenders heading into the grand final.

The rise in the odds is largely attributed to the strong popular reception of the Israeli act on social media platforms. Bettan’s performance, featuring a group of dancers, has generated significant engagement and positive feedback. Currently, Finland remains at the top of the betting charts, followed by Greece in second place and Denmark in third.

The semi-final appearance was not without its challenges. During the performance, pro-Palestinian activists attempted to disrupt the act by shouting slogans and displaying protest messages written on their bodies. These protesters were heard calling for an end to military operations, but the interruption did not appear to impact Bettan’s professional delivery of the song.

In his first interview immediately after leaving the stage, Bettan addressed the provocations directly. "I didn't let the boos and the calls get in my way, I focused on the Israeli flags," he told reporters. He described the experience as deeply emotional, stating that he felt amazing and that despite the cliché, he truly felt he was "singing for Israel."

Bettan expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying he enjoyed every second on the stage and thanked God for the outcome. The performance has solidified his status as a fan favorite, with the song "Michelle" continuing to gain traction among international audiences.

As the competition moves toward the final, the Israeli delegation is focusing on maintaining this momentum. With the betting odds showing a clear upward trend, the pressure is on Bettan to deliver a repeat performance that can challenge the current leaders for the top prize in one of the world's most-watched musical events.
