Which airlines are still flying to Israel?

The Israel Airports Authority reported 50,400 passengers expected on today, across 308 international flights, indicating resilient travel demand despite disruptions.

The missile strike on May 4, 2025, marked the first time a Houthi projectile impacted so close to Ben Gurion’s terminal, prompting a brief airport closure and widespread cancellations.

Although the airport reopened within 30 minutes, many foreign airlines are adopting a cautious approach, monitoring the situation before resuming flights.

El Al has capitalized on the situation, with shares rising nearly 7% and a 49% increase in 2025, driven by record profits. The airline is offering capped fares to support stranded passengers and reservists. However, the lack of competition has led to higher fares, prompting Israel’s Knesset to propose aviation law changes to reduce cancellation penalties and lure back foreign carriers.
