An 80-year-old woman died after being struck by a bus in Ashkelon on Tuesday, according to Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics who responded to the incident and as reported by Ynet.
MDA stated that the woman was found without vital signs and declared deceased at the location.
Two additional women in their 70s were injured and transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. One woman is in serious condition; the other is in moderate condition, according to MDA reports.
Police opened an investigation into the accident and stated that three buses were involved in the incident. Investigators are examining the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
MDA paramedics provided emergency medical care at the scene before transport to the hospital.
