Quite The Treasure!
The money disappeared after his son died. Then the search began.
A volunteer group of insurance agents helped to recover over $300,000 given to a fallen soldier by his father.

A group of volunteer insurance agents around the country, working with the "Swords of Iron" volunteer organization, helped to find over 1.5 million NIS belonging to a fallen soldier who was gifted the money from his father, according to Israel Hayom.
Sergeant Major Nezer Iktin ob"m was gifted a large sum of money from his father - 1.5 million NIS or around $400,000 - by his father when he enlisted into the army, so he could do something with himself later in life. When Itkin fell during the war, his father, who made aliyah but didn't know Hebrew, wanted to find out what happened to it. But no-one knew where it was.
Enter the Swords of Iron organization. A group dedicated to ensuring soldiers who served or who were wounded or killed in action get their full rights from the government, they also work with other groups to ensure the families of fallen soldiers get back all their property.
The group has 100 insurance agents spread throughout the country, and as they are used to dealing with government and bank bureaucracy on a daily basis, they were much more able than Netzer's father to conduct the necessary investigation into his money, an investigation which took a number of months.
Slowly but surely, tracing individual transfers, bits of information, and contacting brokers and people abroad, they were able to find the money and give it back to his father.
