MR FAFO is no longer

Gazan social media star Salah Al-Jaafari is really dead

The guy nicknamed “The One with Nine Lives” might have finally used up his last one in the chaotic mess of Gaza's clan wars.

Saleh Aljafarawi, the pro-Hamas social media sensation who's dodged death more times than a cat in a cartoon, has reportedly been found dead.

Sources from the ground in Gaza are buzzing about Aljafarawi's demise, claiming he was gunned down in the Al-Sabra neighborhood by members of the notorious Doghmush clan (or Dagmush, or Dormoush). These armed families, who’ve been playing both sides like a bad poker hand, allegedly targeted him amid clashes with Hamas holdouts. No one's claiming credit for the hit, but whispers of an assassination are floating around like confetti at a funeral. Several others were reportedly wounded in the skirmish, and Aljafarawi's body is said to be in the clan's custody, because nothing says "respect for the dead" like holding onto the corpse for leverage.

For those not keeping score, Aljafarawi's "deaths" have become a running joke in the misinformation circus of the Gaza conflict. Back in 2023, he was "killed" by an Israeli bomb near Al-Shifa Hospital, only to pop up later like nothing happened.

Then there were the 2024 rumors where pro-Israeli accounts branded him a crisis actor with fake blood on his hands.

By mid-2025, satirical posts were tallying his demises: first in Gaza, then "while reporting from Iran" (because why not?), and apparently a third and fourth for good measure.

"Killed for the 4th time," one Facebook group quipped, turning his repeated resurrections into meme gold.

Even Wikipedia's got a section on how he's been the poster child for Gaza war fake news.

Aljafarawi built his fame (or infamy) on raw videos from the Strip, chronicling the war with a pro-Hamas slant.

Critics accused him of staging scenes and being a propaganda puppet. Either way, his content kept him in the spotlight, "dying" and "reviving" like a zombie in a B-movie.This latest plot twist highlights the wild west vibe in post-conflict Gaza, where clans like the Doghmush—once jailed by Hamas for sketchy dealings and now flexing with Israeli-backed aid ops—are carving out their own fiefdoms. These groups, packing hundreds of gunslingers, are squeezing Hamas's grip, turning the Strip into a factional free-for-all.

Add in unrelated airstrikes and killings, and you've got a security situation more fragile than a house of cards in a windstorm.

As tributes flood in from his admirers and skeptics alike roll their eyes, one thing's for sure: if Aljafarawi pulls off another comeback, he'll officially outdo Lazarus. Until then, Palestinian journalists are demanding answers, and the world watches to see if this death sticks. Stay tuned—resurrection announcements could drop any minute.
